ONCE UPON A TIME I HAD THE NOTION THAT IT would actually be simple and great to use a real granite slab as a base for a duck. How difficult could it be to drill a couple of holes through a rock for some leg wires? My bright idea resulted in four burned-up, $6.00-drill bits just to make one hole G inch deep. A little later, the realization set in that nothing really sticks to a real rock for very long. You can imagine how I quickly discovered the demand for using artificial rocks.
