PART 2,MOUNTING A WILD BOAR WITH JOE COOMBS

IN THE LAST ISSUE OF BREAKTHROUGH, THE ENTIRE preparatory procedure was covered for preparing a boar cape and form for mounting. Renowned Joe Coombs is mounting this boar on his new Euro boar forms using his newly designed boar eyes and jawsets. Joe is working on a European boar he shot last summer with his bow. Here’s a quick review from the last issue. The skin was tanned with Liqua-Tan, and Joe is using the natural nose skin rather than an artificial one. The mount will be open mouth using a jawset designed for this form. The form has been prepared for mounting, and the ears have been prepared using the Bondo ear method. We will pick up the process with the final preparation of placing clay in the earbutts, immediately before applying hidepaste on the form...
