AFTER EACH WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIPS, the divisions and categories are reviewed for possible
improvements, additions, and/or deletions in the competition structure.
Shortly after the 2001 show, it was decided to split birds into two
categories because of the high number of quality entries, approximately 50
each show, competing for one Best in World title.
The rules are followed and
scrutinized during each show and suggestions are accepted from both judges
and competitors to consider for future World Show competitions. The rules
and divisions of the World Show competition have been tested, discussed, and
reconsidered so many times that there are very few problems, and normally
only one or two areas need to be looked at following each year’s show. That
does not mean major changes and additions will not be considered and made
because I feel that is something that can make a strong show even healthier.
Changes, however, should not be made without careful research, consultation,
and reason.
