THIS ISSUE WE WILL FOCUS OUR ATTENTION TO A pair of blue-winged teal, mounted and submitted by Skip Miller of Middletown, California. Skip operates Mounted Memories Taxidermy in this small, central California town. He has created a vertical presentation using a copper rod for support of the birds. He has also taken advantage of the use of a freestanding pedestal base and the use of multiple subject matter. The use of multiple subjects adds the element of interaction and repetition. He has also repeated the branch-form above and below the top of the pedestal. We can tell that a certain amount of thought has gone into creating this piece.

With all that said, I think it’s once again time to have a bit of a popquiz. All of my faithful readers should be experts by now and should have no trouble picking out areas of possible problems, so here we go.
