ALL TAXIDERMISTS HAVE FROZEN ASSETS. WE ALL have cold storage museums—bags upon bags of personal trophies, tagged, bagged, and hidden away in all of the corners and crevices of our workshop freezers. You know what I’m talking about, the little blue Ziploc in the front freezer in the showroom, the bag with the Steller’s eider from Kodiak Island that you and friends acquired during the last legally-huntable year for the little eiders. You know, the bag that you love to pull out and show your bird hunting buddies, but somehow have never decided on the perfect position to take the time to defrost and mount.
