WELCOME BACK
TO THE SECOND PART OF mounting an albino whitetail. In this article I will be focusing on the repair and finishing work particular to creating a high
quality professional albino whitetail mount. A mount as unique as this true
albino deserves a presentation equally interesting. With that in mind, I
chose a manikin with movement and artistic composition, the new “Walkin’ ”
3-D wall pedestal with the Advanced Pre-Set eye system.
1. The focus
of any albino deer mount are the piercing, pinkish/red eyes. To find the
perfect eyes for this mount, I called on Theresa, the eye-guru at Van Dyke’s
Taxidermy
Supply. Theresa is one of the most knowledgeable experts in the field of
glass eyes.
I knew that she was the one person I could count on for these specialty
eyes. The eyes that Van Dyke’s provided were exceptionally natural! So let’s
get going by jumping
into the repair work....
