FOR THIS ISSUE WE WILL have a look at a dynamic piece created by Igor Carogodin. Born in Russia, Igor had a fascination with birds from an early age. He lived in Moldova, and as a young adult he studied there and later graduated with a masters in biology with a major in ornithology. He then got a job as the chief of the nature department of the National Museum of Nature and Culture in Moldova. He was studying for his Ph.D 1989, but ended his dissertation to take advantage of an opportunity to go to Moscow to get a position at the Darwin Museum of Natural History as ornithologist and avian taxidermist. Igor now lives in the Los Angeles, California, area where he continues to fine-tune his taxidermy skills. Let’s have a look at his piece.
