OVER THE PAST TEN YEARS TURKEY TAXIDERMY HAS IMPROVED by leaps and bounds. These changes have happened almost so fast that it is difficult to remain on the front line of knowledge. Some new method or style is introduced to our industry and everything you thought you knew becomes obsolete. We are actually just reaching our abilities as taxidermists to speed up our processes and improve the quality of our work without the final product suffering or lacking in quality. After all, the bottom line is time is money, whether you are full-time or part-time.

Efficiency plays a key role in my company. We wire-wheel all of our waterfowl and most small game birds and have done this process for years. I have been interested in articles pertaining to pressure washing animal hides and many times thought to myself I wish we could do birds this way. It never occurred to me that it really could be done. Some miracle-cure for degreasing—yeah right!
