Editor’s Note: During this article we will refer to mounting procedures we have previously published on Cally Morris’ techniques for mounting a standing and strutting turkey. Since many of the procedures Cally uses are identical for all poses, we are directing you back to previous issues. This keeps us from having to show repetitive steps and allows us to stay focused on specific information pertaining to this dead hanging pose. THE VISUAL DEPICTION OF HARVESTed dead game has been around for thousands of years. European art is famous for showing this ancient ritual of bringing in the game to feed family and friends. You see it in carvings on furniture and buildings, and on canvas in art galleries around the world.
