THERE ARE SO MANY AREAS OF THE WORLD TAXIDERMY and Fish Carving Championships® that get accolades that it is impossible to single out one area as the best or favorite. It is a little easier to single out one area, however, that is growing and consistently exhibits work that is inspiring and eye catching, that being the Collective Artists Division.

The World Show rules had always limited entries to the work of one individual. In 1994 Frank Newmyer initiated a campaign for the World Show® to begin a division where a studio, friends, and fellow artists could compete together with one entry. The approaching 1995 show did not allow enough time to develop and advertise a new division, so I waited until the 1997 show to feature this new competition. By the end of 1995 I had written the rules and elected to make this new division a World Title Division. It was first announced in 1996
