A FISH IN HAND IS WORTH…? Readers of BREAKTHROUGH may be aware of my long ago friendship with the late George H. Lesser (venerable taxidermist of Johnstown New York.) Those readers will know that the man did a phenomenal amount of taxidermy work in his lifetime. He produced no less than fourteen thousand Adirondack and other whitetail deer heads during his career. That number was determined by actual count! The volume of all other work he did reached into the many thousands as well. In the latter portion of his life, the quantity of work became such that he needed outside help to keep abreast of it all. George could have hired in-house help if such were readily available. He chose another route, and
that was my cue to enter “stage right.”....
