The best starting place for any artistic piece is in your mind, not only to visualize the end you wish to produce, but to mentally work out the procedure, step by step. After deciding whatever it is you wish to create, the first step is to find reference photographs to aid you with anatomically accurate positioning of the piece you have in mind. As mentioned in Part 1 of this series, Chris Krueger had envisioned this bronze and taxidermy bobcat piece many years ago. Over the years he has accumulated a wide variety of reference photographs showing different sizes of big cats carrying kittens.
