THE TIME HAD ARRIVED TO start
contemplating an entry for the 2006 Canadian Taxidermist Association
competition. Wanting to do something unique, I flicked
through some deer photos and came across a photo of two bucks with locked
antlers. The pose was so extraordinary that I just had to attempt it. The
deer were locked in such a way that their heads were twisted down on their
necks and the heads were equal or past a ninety- degree angle. It was a pose
that many would say could never occur in real life.
