DURING THE PAST 25 YEARS OR SO OF
TAXIDERMY, whitetail deer have been scrutinized, dissected, and critiqued to
no end, resulting in vast improvements in whitetail taxidermy. Whitetail
taxidermy is the cornerstone of the taxidermy industry, however, the
category that is gaining in popularity faster than any other is reptile
taxidermy, specifically rattlesnakes. A problem lies in the fact that most
people (customers, taxidermists, and taxidermy judges) aren’t familiar with
what a rattlesnake is supposed to look like. At competitions the judge
critiquing your
rattlesnake may never have mounted a rattlesnake.
