Brook Trout by
Dennis Nelson
State, regional, the NTA, and The World Show competitions exhibit some of
the most artistic taxidermy being produced. At each show there are pieces
that seem to grab you; you are compelled to stop and look at them closely.
Dennis Nelson of Darby, Montana, captured that mystique with this brook
trout composition. In four states it won many major awards, including the
WASCO award for most artistic entry and Taxidermists' Choice award twice. At
the 2005 NTA it took a first in the Open Division. Needless to say, it
grabbed a cover of BREAKTHROUGH.
