IN OCTOBER OF 2004 I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL from
a company in East Hampton, New York. The gentleman on the
line was Christopher Jarrett, project manager for Cycad Productions,
a museum design and exhibit fabrication company based in
the Hamptons. He explained
that he and Robert Braun, the owner
of Cycad, were working on a huge
project in China near Tin Shui Wai,
a small city in the new territories not
far from Hong Kong. It was called
Hong Kong Wetland Park. When I
asked just how huge was this project
he replied, “It’s estimated completion
cost is five hundred million dollars.”
That’s when I replied, “How can I be
of service to you, Mr. Jarrett?”
