LAST ISSUE I WROTE A PAINT SCHEDULE for the silver phase of the coho, or, as it is most often referred to on the west coast and Alaska, the silver salmon. In this issue on pages 94-97, you will find a reference study of various color phases of spawning cohos from Alaska inland waters. I have selected an Alaskan male coho (which I caught) for this paint schedule as it is in the midrange of the many variations observed.
