Four years ago, I found myself up to my knees in deer capes and stretching bear rugs. To help things along, I invested in one of Steve Rotramel's Automatic Tanners. I even submitted a product review on this little gem and found that it doubled nicely as a tumbler.
But last year I decided to specialize in fish and birds only. My wife thought it was high time we considered saving a few days each summer to fish salmon off Vancouver Island. Convinced I had tanned my last deer cape, we hastily sold the tanner/tumbler to a young taxidermist south of Calgary. He soon reported to me that it was the best invention since Hiawatha discovered snowshoes.
Before I could tie a Hoochy lure on the end of our salmon lines, more birds started coming in. Pretty soon my arms got tired of holding up the air nozzle to blow-dry all the feathers. With the Automatic Tanner gone, I suddenly realized...
