Part 1: Mounting a Rainbow Trout

The specimen
for this project is a plump, 16-inch rainbow trout from Lake Taneycomo in
southern Missouri. The fish is a nice specimen, however, not a perfect one.
The trailing edge of the gill covers on both sides are deformed and do not
lie properly on the body. The branchiostegal rays are also misshapen and
will have to be corrected on the cast head. Both defects could have been
from the dynamite I used in order to collect the fish.....
