THE BIGGEST EVER!
I CAN'T THINK OF A BETTER WAY to begin this review of the 2001 World Shows than to print a letter Kathy and I received about a week after the show. The letter was from Simon Blackshaw from
Venlo, Netherlands. After reading his letter, you will see that Simon's success at the 2001 Show was nurtured from a strong belief that art and nature co-exist. He wrote that these were the words he was trying to find when he stepped to the podium to accept his Best of Show award.
Dear Larry, Kathy, and all the wonderful colleagues I met in Springfield,
When I was a boy, my parents took me to Canterbury Cathedral. I remember standing there in the central aisle, looking up to the ceiling towering hundreds of feet above me, at the huge columns, statues and architectural intricacies, where all were accentuated by the most amazing light, flooding in through the stained glass windows.
