Yes, we know this fish was mounted by Dennis Arp (bottom photo) and seen in Issue 53. But the fish is such a beauty, we couldn't resist showing it to you again. It just happens that Don Frank and Dennis Arp are also very good friends, so we're sure Don would not mind us showing this fish with his article. Don is from Smithville, Missouri, and Dennis is from Culbertson, Nebraska.

THIS PAINT SCHEDULE CAN BE USED FOR A REPROduction or skin mounted fish, providing the reproduction is prepared as follows before you begin painting.
About paints: I use a combination of brands of water-based paint, Polytranspar (WA or FP), Lifetone (LT or HM) and Wildlife Colors (WC). They are all good paints with proven durability. I prefer certain colors or coverage in one paint over the other, and spray one brand over the other so long as the preceding color is dry. I have been using Polytranspar and Lifetone since they were invented (nearly 20 years), and have used water-based paints for the last 10 years, and never experienced a problem with compatibility. However, I never mix two different brands in the same color cup...
