The Maceration and Flexible Joint Method

SKELETONS ARE POSSIBLY THE MOST EDUCATIONAL part of taxidermy, There's no better way to gain insight into general anatomy and the articulations than studying the actual skeleton itself. In this article I will outline the methods that are widely used in Europe, to achieve a highly detailed, white-boned skeleton.

Perhaps the key to skeleton preparation is in the orderly arrangement of the different body parts. Eliminating any confusion between left and right, for instance, reduces the chances of incorrect assembly. Unless you know your way pretty well round a skeleton, there's nothing worse than trying to piece together a big pile of bones!
